Related Instruction Tuition Support:
SUNY can cover a portion of the Related Instruction tuition costs and fees, providing financial relief of up to either $6,000 or $8,000 for Registered Apprentices from your organization who are studying at a SUNY college. Funding amount is based on the length of the trade. If the Related Instruction can be offered by a local SUNY community college, tuition support will not be available if the training is completed at a four year college.
Pre-Apprenticeship Training Reimbursement:
If you sponsor a Registered Apprenticeship program and have an employee interested in apprenticeship, SUNY can support up to $1,000 toward training to ensuring they are well-prepared and a match for the Registered Apprenticeship opportunity.
Hiring and Retention Incentives:
SUNY provides incentives to Registered Apprentice employer sponsors and signatories. The Registered Apprentice must have been designated an apprentice after May 1,2024 and begin Related Instruction at a SUNY college within six months. The following incentives may be combined, resulting in an incentive to your organization of up to $1,500 per Registered Apprentice hired.
ESATC offers tax incentives to certified New York State Registered Apprenticeship sponsors for hiring newly qualified Registered Apprentices.
It helps offset the costs incurred by employer sponsors who employ Registered Apprentices.
AEG provides funding to cover various costs associated with training apprentices for certified New York State Registered Apprenticeship sponsors
Eligible expenses include Related Instruction, On-the-Job Training (OJT), books, and essential tools required for successful apprenticeship programs.
