SUNY has several campus-based Intensive English Programs (IEPs) which provide pre-academic training and instruction in the English language, preparing students for full-time academic study at the completion of the program. These programs also provide cross-cultural skills, tools and perspectives to assist international students in adapting to the culture of the classroom, campus and community.
IEPs are year-round, full-time programs. Admission to the university or college is not required to register for an IEP and, in some cases, SUNY campuses will provide conditional admission based on successful completion of the program.
Please contact each campus for specific details.
Beyond the intensive English programs at SUNY, you will also find a number of our campuses offer English as a Second Language (ESL) support to assist you in mastering the English language and paving the way for you to make the most of your educational opportunities.
The following is a list of SUNY campuses that offer courses for credit, support for students, or short-term non-credit programs.
