Instructions on how to use the SUNY Study Abroad website (suny.edu/studyabroad)

  1. To begin, go back to the main page and click on green Search box or Program Search field (they both take you to the search page)Home page image of Study Abroad site
  2. On the next page, you will see a map with four search filters on the left-hand side of the screen. Choose at least one filter to search by: Location (Where to?), Academic subject (Studying What?), Term, or Program Type.
  3. After you choose your criteria from any of the four filters, click on the green “Save Filters” box at the top of the search bar. The map will then display the number of study abroad programs in each country, based on the filters you selected.
  4. At this point, you can either click on the box associated with the country you are interested in from the map or click “Show Results” from the left-hand side of the page to see a list of all results matching your search criteria.Map display of Study Abroad results
  5. From the list of programs that appears on the next page, click on the one(s) you are interested in and read through the details. If you want to apply for the program, go to the website of the campus offering the program and begin the application process directly with that campus.
