The Administration phased out the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in September 2017.
The program was due to end on March 5, 2018. However, the federal district courts in the Northern District of California and the Eastern District of New York issued preliminary injunctions blocking termination of the program. The Ninth Circuit is reviewing the federal court injunction issued by the California court.
In the meantime, USCIS is accepting applications for renewal of DACA status previously granted. However, it is not accepting applications for those who have never been granted DACA status.
