Chancellor Zimpher Honors Excellence Among SUNY Faculty and Staff

Albany – State University of New York Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher today announced the names of 317 faculty and staff who are recipients of the 2015-16 Chancellor's Awards for Excellence.

"The Chancellor's Award for Excellence is our way of saying 'thank you' to the many faculty across our university system who have gone above and beyond as they educate, mentor, and conduct research alongside our students, as well as the staff whose service to SUNY is of the highest caliber," said Chancellor Zimpher. "It is an honor to recognize excellent work across the SUNY system. Congratulations to all of this year's recipients."

The Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence are presented annually to faculty and staff in seven categories: Faculty Service, Librarianship, Professional Service, Scholarship and Creative Activities, Teaching, Adjunct in Teaching, and Classified Service. The honor provides system-wide recognition for consistently superior professional achievement and encourages the ongoing pursuit of excellence.
