Jade Gabrielle-Amanda Watts is an organizer and researcher in the field of queer studies and communications. In their paper titled "It’s Just a Feeling: Exploring the Queer Liberation Movement Through the Televisual Archive," Watts creates space to question high-theories’ hold over the "academics of gender/sex/sexuality" and incorporates low-theories to attempt to find truth. Examining affect in two different forms of queer televisual media through the public access show Forward and Out and YouTube series Maddy in the Morning, Watts details how each encourages specific emotional reactions from the viewer and calls to action toward queer liberation.
