SUNY student art exhibits are a graphic illustration of the value of art and art programs at our schools and on our campuses. Additionally, they provide important exposure and an opportunity for experiential learning for the remarkable artists these programs develop.
Established by Joe Hildreth in 2002, the SUNY Student Art exhibition at SUNY Plaza showcases the best student works produced on campuses as determined by faculty of campus Art Departments.
Best of SUNY is a juried show, selected from all works submitted to SUNY Student Art at SUNY Plaza. No separate entry is required. Winners will be determined by an independent panel in late spring 2022. Three students will be awarded Best of Show, and will receive $1,000 scholarships. Four students will be awarded Honorable mention and will receive $500 prizes.
