Statement from SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher on the Passing of Dr. Cornelius Robbins

December 4, 2013

“On behalf of the entire SUNY system, I extend my deepest condolences to the family of Dr. Cornelius Robbins. Dr. Robbins was the second president of Genesee Community College and served during a critical time in the college's early history. He also showed exemplary service in his leadership of SUNY Cobleskill, his work at System Administration, and his professorship at the University at Albany. We are grateful for his visionary leadership and dedication and know that SUNY overall owes Dr. Robbins a wealth of gratitude for his many years of service to the University and the citizens of New York State.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the Robbins family during this difficult time.”
