T.H. Rehabilitation Counselor II (SL2)

This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.

As a family the positions in this group are involved in providing treatment to restore a patient's abilities to the highest normal functioning level possible.

• Determines the amount and type of testing and/or provides counseling.
• Discusses with patient or client test results or outcome, formulates vocational goals, recommends training or direct placement in an occupational field.
• Responsible for implementation of educational and departmental in-service programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. Minimum of two years in an acute care facility.
