T.H. Recreational Therapy Associate (SL2)

This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.

Recreational Therapists are responsible for the design, development and implementation of d system to provide psycho-social and physical activities to meet the patient's need in order to facilitate discharge.

• Under direct supervision provides recreational therapy according to a specified treatment plan;
• continually evaluates effectiveness of plan in attaining goals and recommends or implements changes as appropriate;
• provides instruction to medical staff, residents and students.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or a related Therapy.
