T.H. Physical Therapist II (SL3)
This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.
As a job family, Physical Therapists work closely with other members of the health care team, patients and their families, to plan the evaluation and treatment of the patient's needs and to develop and administer programs aimed at strengthening the body.
- Administers all aspects of patients' care and management in compliance with departmental policies and procedures;
- assists in the coordination and scheduling of treatment progression and testing procedures, records loan and retrieval of equipment;
- participates in the department of in-service training program.
- May serve as clinical instructor for senior level students.
- Assists supervisor in maintaining updated policies and procedures;
- participates in quality assurance and peer review;
- assists with the orientation of new staff members, and may participate in teaching programs.
- Functions under general supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
BS in Physical Therapy, NYS license and two {to four} years experience.
