T.H. Clinical Technical Services Sleep Disorder Associate (SL2)

This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.

Incuments of positions in this family provide a detailed survey of the patient's sleep-related problems including physical, neurological, psychiatric and psychological exams to indicate whether other diagnostic tests are necessary.

  • Monitors polysomnographic parameters (i.e., electroencephalogram, electromyogram, electrooculogram, respiratory airflow, respirator effort, electrocardiogram, oxygen saturation of arterial blood and various types of body movements) throughout the sleep of patients.
  • Scores polysomnographic recording to the specifications of the Medical Director.
  • Maintains laboratory supplies by initiating appropriate purchase orders.

Preferred Qualification:

B.A. or B.S. Three to six months supervised experience.
