T.H. Clinical Technical Services EEG Associate (SL2)
This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.
The incumbents in positions in this family perform neurophysiological tests, which measure the brain impulse frequencies and electrical potential, as in seizure disorders.
- Performs a wide range of electroneurodiagnostic examinations, i.e., all types of electroencephalograms including routine, portable, neonatal, electrocerebral silence, and ambulatory.
- Performs evoked potential studies including visual, brainstem auditory and somatosensory.
- May be required to assist in electro-myograms and nerve conduction velocity studies.
- Maintains laboratory equipment, including calibration and minor repairs;
- maintains and inventories laboratory supplies, linen, etc.
- Maintains EEG tracings, laboratory data and microfilmed recordings;
- works under the supervision of appropriate medical staff or the T.H. CTS Senior Specialist.
Preferred Qualification:
Associate's Degree. Two years EEG experience in an acute care facility.
