T.H. Clinical Laboratory Technologist II (SL3)

This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.

Application of the science of human behavior to persons with emotional or behavioral disorders to facilitate the normal growth and development of the individual.

• Works independently with consultative direction.
• May assume the role of Lead Specialist/Shift Supervisor of the section/shift assigned.
• Applies detailed specialized knowledge of scientific principles to perform advanced level testing in specialized areas.
• Requires research and negotiation activities for major problem solving and decision making.
• May provide direct supervision to subordinate staff and students for a section/shift.
• Presents didactic lectures and laboratory sessions to medical, nursing, and health-related professions, students or staff.
• Under direct supervision, defines performance program and does staff performance appraisals.

Preferred Qualifications:

BS in Medical Technology. Six years experience required, ASCP or equivalent preferred.
