Television Producer-Director (SL4)

This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.

• Produces and directs educational television programs;
• translates the needs of the faculty into effective audio-visual productions;
• consults with the faculty to determine the exact production requirements;
• writes scripts;
• assists in developing project budgets;
• directs the operating crews in rehearsals and performance;
• specifies graphics, sound, sequence, lighting and action;
• may teach production classes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in media communication, performing arts, or a related field. A Master's degree preferred, and/or satisfactory experience in commercial television production.
