Student Union Assistant Director (SL3)
This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.
Serves as the assistant or one of several assistants to the Director of the Student Union.
- Assists the Director in formulating policies and regulations for the use of the student union; supervises specific functions such as operations, reservations, conferences, orientation, commuter services, volunteer services, or building operations;
- frequently supervises budget and personnel matters and serves as a liaison with student governments;
- may be responsible for managing the union during certain hours with responsibility for all activities;
- in addition, the incumbent may be responsible for the supervision of night and weekend managers for the union.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Master's degree, preferably in student personnel or related area, with progressive experience working in the administration of a student union or related areas as applicable.
