Student Activities Assistant Director (SL3)
This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.
Serves as the assistant or one of several assistants to the Director of Student Activities in the formulation of policies and procedures related to the campus activities programs.
- Incumbent assists in the conceptualization, design, planning, implementation, and evaluation of campus wide leadership development and training programs;
- assists in the advisement, coordination, and evaluation of programs and activities of student organizations.
- May be in charge of a specific area within the student activities function such as the programming board or specific committees;
- advises the fraternities and sororities, or coordinates volunteer or commuter services;
- works with residential life staff to promote programming within the residence halls;
- may supervise other professional, clerical, or support staff; performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Master's Degree, preferably in student personnel, with progressive experience in the management and administration of student activities or a student union.
