Associate for Campus Services (SL5)
This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.
The Associate for Campus Services is responsible for the daily administration of one or more campus service functions such as:
- purchasing, mail, duplicating, central stores, small package delivery, busing, parking or contract moving.
Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
- advising departments on services, personally handling unusual or complex transactions;
- formulating, implementing and evaluating policies and procedures and recommending changes;
- selecting, supervising and training staff;
- assigning work and establishing priorities;
- overseeing the bidding process, contract formulation and review, implementation and enforcement of contract;
- serving as a liaison to other State agencies vendors and contractors to insure efficiency;
- project related budget needs for that service.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a related field required. Master's degree or appropriate certification preferred. Minimum five years related experience in a large organization including supervision of staff, preferably in an educational institution.
