Academic Tutor (SL3)

This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.

• Works with EOP students, tutors individual students in academic subjects in which the student is scholastically deficient;
• performs testing which indicates the area of deficiency;
• may be administratively responsible for a specific area of a learning center such as English as a second language, testing and placement, math learning center, writing center and other specialized learning units.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree, preferably in the field of education and demonstrable teaching; experience in secondary or post secondary schools.
