Student Teaching Opportunities

To learn more about SUTEC and Student Teaching in New York City Schools, follow the instructions below:

To Student Teach in the New York City School System

1. Complete the online SUTEC Student Application for New York City Student Teaching and submit.
2. Your application will be submitted to the Director of your campus Student Teaching Office for approval.

• Campus Request for Student Teacher Placement (Excel template)

Only students who are approved can submit an application. Any application that doesn't match the campus list will sent back to the home campus. 

Excel template instructions: Download the Campus Request for Student Teacher Placement (Excel template) and complete the form. Once the form is completely filled out and you are ready to submit, email the file to Natalie.Lukas@suny.edu and Regina.Anderson@suny.edu.
