“Sheena Wright is a well-respected leader of education reform in New York City and across the country. Through her vision and dedication, the Abyssinian Development Corporation has provided a bright future for schoolchildren of all ages and individuals from all walks of life.
“Sheena has embraced the cradle to career model for education and has used this powerful approach to turn around some of the lowest performing public schools in the state. As president and CEO of United Way, Sheena will be an important voice in bringing these ideas to scale in schools and communities throughout New York City.
