Chancellors Zimpher and Johnson Release SUNY Commercial To Air During NYC Pride March on WABC-TV

More than 300 SUNY Students, Faculty, Staff, & Alumni To March
New York City – SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher and SUNY Chancellor-elect Kristina M. Johnson today released SUNY’s first television commercial, which will air during WABC-TV’s live presentation of the NYC Pride March Sunday between Noon and 3 p.m. showcasing the university system’s commitment to inclusivity. The 30-second spot is narrated by Sunny Hostin, Binghamton University Alumna and Host of ABC’s hit show The View.
SUNY will participate in the NYC Pride March for the second consecutive year, with a parade float escorted by more than 300 students, faculty, staff and alumni representing 40 campuses from throughout the state as well as System Administration and the SUNY Student Assembly.
"SUNY’s annual participation in the NYC Pride March is a celebration of our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and to ensuring that SUNY continues to be a place where all are welcome to live, to work, and to learn," said Chancellor Zimpher. "We are proud to bring the SUNY family together for the event again this year, and to celebrate the LGBTQ community in solidarity with the great State of New York."
