General SUNY Diversity Conference Information

SUNY is committed to providing conference experiences and environments that are welcoming, inviting and user-friendly for all guests. While we have taken many steps to ensure this welcoming environment, we recognize that there are individuals who require reasonable accommodations. FAQ

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The Albany Marriott Hotel has a shuttle to and from Albany International Airport. Please contact the Albany Marriott directly (518-458-8444) to arrange for a shuttle. There is also plenty of free parking available in the hotel parking garage and on-site parking lot.

What does the Full Conference Registration fee cover?
The Full Conference Registration ticket covers all conference events from Wednesday, December 4th to Thursday, December 5th. If you wish to attend the PRODiG Pre-Conference Institute (December 3rd) AND the full Conference (December 4th and 5th), you must purchase a PRODiG Pre-Conference Institute Registration ticket in addition to a Full Conference Registration ticket.

What does the PRODiG Pre-Conference Institute Registration fee cover?
The Pre-Conference Registration ticket option is availble for those who plan to only attend conference events on Tuesday, December 3rd. If you wish to attend any conference events beyond those scheduled for Tuesday, December 3rd, you must also purchase a Full Conference Registration ticket.

What's the refund policy?
Refunds are availble until 5:00pm on Friday, November 15, 2019.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, just make sure you're able to access your conference registration confirmation on your mobile device via email, screen shot, etc.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
No

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
The name on the ticket must match the name we have on your name badge and printed materials.

Hotel Accommodations

Conference Hotel: Albany Marriott, 189 Wolf Road, Albany, New York 12205 (518) 458-8444

Guest Rooms:

Conference participants should contact the hotel directly to make their reservations. A block of 187 rooms has been reserved. In order to secure the discounted SUNY group rate of $113/night, please use code name: 2019 SUNY Diversity Conference. Individual attendees will be asked to present proof of government employment upon check-in and should be prepared to provide a NYS ST-129 form in order to receive tax exemption on their overnight room charges

Guaranteed Reservations:

All reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card or by State University of New York. Hotel will not hold any reservations unless secured by one of the above methods.

Check In: December 3, 2019 at 4 p.m.
Check Out: December 5 2019 by 12 p.m.

Reservation Process and Deadline

Reservations by attendees must be received on or before 12:00am, Thursday, November 14, 2019 (the “Cutoff Date”). At the Cutoff Date, Hotel will release unreserved rooms for general sale and determine whether it can accept reservations based on a space- and rate-available basis at the State University of New York group rate after this date.
