Women in Technology at SUNY

SUNY's Mission is to "provide to the people of New York educational services of the highest quality, with the broadest possible access, fully representative of all segments of the population in a complete range of academic, professional, and vocational postsecondary programs including additional activities in pursuit of these objectives."

The SUNY WIT Program's Mission is "to empower, support, and retain a more gender diverse information technology related workforce within SUNY."

In alignment with and furtherance of SUNY's mission, the SUNY WIT Program is designed to promote inclusive educational and networking opportunities, discussion forums, and information and resource accessibility for all SUNY employees in various traditional and more nuanced IT related roles.

These efforts are intended to foster and strengthen workplace effectiveness; engagement in professional and leadership development activities; overall career growth and success; and employee satisfaction and retention within the SUNY community.
