SUNY Upstate Medical University is an upper-division/transfer and graduate school consisting of four colleges with educational programs that train healthcare, medical and biomedical research professionals. These colleges include the College of Medicine, the College of Nursing, the College of Health Professions and the College of Graduate Studies. They house both undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
Most undergraduate and some graduate programs offer an early admission option for high school seniors. College students are eligible to apply through a traditional admissions process for these programs.
Small class sizes and low student to faculty ratios allow for individualized attention. Upstate offers an impressive extracurricular roster with very active intramural sports and over 60 clubs and organizations. The campus housing, Geneva Tower, offers safe and affordable living for Upstate students. Nearly all Upstate students are offered employment prior to or upon graduation in competitive professional fields.
