At Farmingdale, our Students First initiative is designed to enhance the total student experience - whether it's through creating dynamic activities or creating a conducive learning environment. Students have many experiential learning opportunities including internships, clinical training and guided research that provide practical instruction and personal growth.

To prepare the next generation of leaders in technology, engineering, business, healthcare, science and the arts, 49-degree programs focus on emerging, high-demand, and relevant careers. More than half of graduating seniors leave debt-free, and 82% are either employed six months after graduation or enrolled in graduate school.

Small, personalized classes, a lush 380-acre campus and a successful NCAA Division III athletics program are some of the things Farmingdale students experience while preparing for a whole new world—the real world.

Unique offerings include a highly competitive nursing school, the largest collegiate flight school in the Northeast and the only SUNY to offer a four-year professional pilot degree, and the only four-year dental hygiene program in the region.
