Chancellor Zimpher Announces SUNY Plaza to Host Year-Round Farmers’ Market in Downtown Albany

Albany – State University of New York Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher tomorrow will host Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan, Ag and Markets Commissioner Richard Ball, the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District, and the community to announce the opening of a year-round Fresh Connect Farmers’ Market at SUNY Plaza.

Members of the downtown Albany community are encouraged to attend the event, which will feature family-friendly music by the Zucchini Brothers, seed-to-packet projects for children by FarmOn! Foundation, and Farmers’ Market vendors selling an array of fresh, locally-grown foods, plants, and other goods.
