The 2015 Session

The 2015 Legislative session is historic for SUNY, with more action directly affecting higher education than any session in the past decade:

The Legislature also approved two measures that will greatly enhance the delivery of online courses both for our in-state students and students throughout the country and world:

Attached is a summary of legislation impacting higher education that has been approved by both the Senate and Assembly and the status of each regarding final action by the Governor.

Board of Trustees

During the final days of the 2015 Session, the Senate approved the appointment to two new trustees and the reappointment of three current trustees.

In addition Thomas Mastro, a Binghamton University student and newly elected President of the Student Assembly, was recently sworn in as the new student trustee and Nina Tamrowski, newly elected president of the Faculty Council of Community Colleges and professor of political science at Onondaga Community College, was also sworn as the community college faculty trustee.
