Michael E. Russell is a Director of Investments with Wachovia Securities LLC in Port Jefferson, New York. He holds a B.S. from Adelphi University. He was appointed to the SUNY Board of Trustees on November 29, 2005.

Mr. Russell is Chairman of the Nassau/Suffolk Hospital Trustees Institute. He serves on several not-for-profit boards including J.T. Mather Memorial Hospital, Alternatives for Children and Jefferson's Ferry Active Retirement Community.

Mr. Russell and his wife, Barbara have three children and two grandchildren. They reside in East Setauket, New York.
