Edward F. Cox, a partner in the Manhattan law firm of Patterson, Belknap, Webb and Tyler, LLP, holds a B.A. degree from Princeton University (Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs) and a J.D. degree from Harvard Law School. He was appointed to the SUNY Board of Trustees on June 27, 1995.
Mr. Cox is a founding director and former chairman of the Student/Sponsor Partnership for underprivileged inner-city high school students and serves as chairman of the State Council of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation and as a member of the State Commission on Judicial Nomination for candidates for the Court of Appeals.
Born in Suffolk County, Mr. Cox and his wife, Patricia, and son, Christopher, reside in New York City.
