Christopher P. Conners was appointed to the SUNY Board of Trustees on December 6, 2004. He is a principal and general manager of British American, a family owned multi-faceted firm whose enterprises have included real estate development, producing films and television shows, book publishing, and the manufacture and sale of soft drinks (Canada Dry/Seven Up). British American Development, which originated with the soft drink operations, is engaged in the construction and management of office, industrial, and residential developments in the Capital Region, including Airport Park, a 350 acre office complex adjacent to the Albany International Airport. British American Publishing has had several works named as The New York Times "Most Notable Books of the Year" (one a finalist for the National Book Award). British American Entertainment's movies include The Joe Torre Story, and Nuremberg, which received two Emmys in 2001.
Mr. Conners is a 1979 graduate of The Albany Academy and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Lawrence University, Canton, New York.
Mr. Conners and his wife, Kendall, have two children and reside in Niskayuna, New York.
