Chapter 309 of the Laws of 1996, amends §355 of NYS Education Law to provide that the Board of Trustees of the State University of New York (University) may authorize the presidents of the colleges of technology and the colleges of agriculture and technology to set alternate rates of tuition for each of the colleges for students enrolled in degree-granting programs leading to an associate degree and non-degree granting programs, not to exceed the tuition rates established by 8 NYCRR §302.1.
Chapter 309 of the Laws of 1996, amends §355 of NYS Education Law to provide that the Board of Trustees of the State University of New York (University) may authorize the president of a college of technology or a college of agriculture and technology may establish differing rates of tuition.
Pursuant to 8 NYCRR §302.1, the president of a college of technology or a college of agriculture and technology may establish differing rates of tuition for the college for students enrolled in degree-granting programs leading to an associate degree and non-degree granting programs, with the approval of the chancellor or designee, based on considerations, which may include but are not limited to time, location, cost, services provided, enrollment management and access, so long as such tuition rates do not exceed the following tuition rates for students enrolled in degree-granting undergraduate programs leading to an associate degree and non-degree granting programs as established by 8 NYCRR §302.1(b)(1):
a. students, New York State residents: $2,175 per semester or $1,450 per quarter.
b. students, out-of-state residents: $5,305 per semester or $3,537 per quarter.
c. special students, New York State residents: $181 per semester credit hour or $121 per quarter credit hour.
d. special students, out-of-state residents: $442 per semester credit hour or $295 per quarter credit hour.
