Statement from SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher on the Passing of Garrick Utley

On behalf of the entire SUNY community, I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Garrick Utley. Garrick was a valued member of the SUNY family, the founding president of the Levin Institute, and more recently a professor at SUNY Oswego. It was in these roles that he generously shared his time, talents, and wealth of knowledge from a highly distinguished career with SUNY students and faculty. He was a trusted colleague and advisor who taught me many things. I am honored to have worked with him. Our thoughts are with Garrick's family, many friends, colleagues, and admirers
