Statement from Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher on SUNY Cobleskill Gift
August 1, 2014
“Congratulations to SUNY Cobleskill on receiving a $250,000 commitment from Stewart’s Shops and the Dake family to support the construction of a Dairy Processing Center.
“The Center will enable SUNY Cobleskill to offer exciting new applied learning opportunities for students that will enhance their educational experience and better prepare them for jobs in New York’s dairy industry. Working alongside local dairy producers at the facility, our students will graduate with a considerable advantage as they enter today’s competitive 21st-century workforce.
“Private investment in public higher education is vital as we continue to deliver on our promises of quality and affordability for all students. Thank you to Stewart’s Shops and the Dake family for this generous contribution.”
