Lancaster University is one of England's principal universities, offering a rich selection of courses in arts, social sciences, sciences and pre-professional fields. Lancaster is located at the edge of the scenic Lake District, four miles from the Irish Sea. London is three hours away by train, Edinburgh and Glasgow in Scotland two hours. The modern, cosmopolitan city of Manchester is less than an hour away. The city is picturesque, with many restored historic buildings and an attractive pedestrianized City Centre that has museums, cinemas, a nationally recognized repertory theatre, a covered market, and a maze of small streets and alleyways with interesting shops, restaurants and pubs. Bath Program

One and a quarter hours west of London, lies the city of Bath, a site first explored by Romans who were attracted to the hot spa baths. Bath became an elegant resort city in the eighteenth century and today is a cosmopolitan small city with a rich student and cultural life. The University of Bath enrolls 6000 students on a modern, compact campus. The University has excellent programs in the sciences and social sciences, including economics, mathematics, physics, politics and psychology. Students live in university residence halls in the center of the city not far from the campus and are fully integrated into campus activities and student life.
