Albany offers an exciting exchange program at Nottingham: the "Queen City of the Midlands". Situated in the heart of England, 120 miles north of London, this lively, cosmopolitan city, recently named "the best city to live in, in the UK" has retained much of its distinguished architecture and picturesque buildings, many of which are of medieval origin and act as a constant reminder of the city's legendary association with Robin Hood. The university is located west of city center on a 330 acre campus with extensive woodlands, parks, and playing fields. Students enroll directly into regular university classes with British students in American and Canadian studies, architecture and planning, art history, biology, chemistry, classical and archaeological studies, economics, engineering, geography, language, management, math, philosophy, physics, politics, psychology, and many other areas.

Albany offers an exciting exchange program at Swansea: an ancient city beginning as a small settlement on the River Tawe. Now it is a modern city with nearly 200,000 inhabitants. It is easily accessible from all parts of the UK and less than 3 hours by train from London. The University lies on Swansea Bay, on the beautiful Gower Peninsula, which serves as a natural field laboratory for students of the natural sciences. Students enroll directly into regular university classes with British students in humanities and natural and social sciences. Courses include American studies, biochemistry, biological sciences, business, chemistry, classics and ancient history, computer science, drama, economics, engineering, English literature, environmental science, geography, geology, history, management science, math, medieval studies, modern languages, oceanography, philosophy, politics, psychology, social history, sociology and anthropology, statistics, and others. Internships in various fields are also available.

From the stunning Regent's Park, where the University is based, it is a short walk to the West End, which offers world-class entertainment, museums, galleries, nightlife and shopping. Plays and musicals can be seen in theatres all over London, but especially in the world-famous West End. Live-music lovers will not be disappointed either. London is home to an enormous number of music venues, hosting everything from international opera singers to the latest chart-topping bands.
