Accademia Italiana

The Accademia Italiana is considered one of the best art and design schools in Italy and the College at Brockport offers programs during the academic year and the summer term. Founded in 1984, the Accademia Italiana has campuses in Florence and Rome and programs in cooperation with prestigious universities from all over the world. The "Study in Italy" programs are considered among the best offered at an international school in terms of academic quality and student services. There is an active department of Italian language and culture, and the courses offered by the study abroad department are held in English language or are bilingual (Italian and English). The liberal arts department also offers Italian language courses at all levels. Students may also choose to take courses in Fashion Design, Interior and Product Design, Graphic Design, Photography, and New Media.

John Cabot University

Founded in 1972, John Cabot University is an independent, four-year, liberal arts university offering undergraduate degrees and study abroad programs to English-speaking students from all over the world. Over 8,000 American students have studied abroad at JCU, which combines the academic quality of an independent, accredited university with the services and care of a study abroad program. Students will become part of a lively, international community with individuals from 50 countries. Students can choose from 200 courses, taught in English, with small and engaging class settings. John Cabot is located in Rome, Italy, along the banks of the Tiber River in the vibrant Trastevere dei Lincei, where Galileo once worked. A 15-minute walk takes you to the Vatican, the Sistine Chapel, and Castel Sant'Angelo, the hiding place of the popes during the Guelf-Ghibelline wars of the Middle Ages. In another direction, you'll find the Pantheon, built as a Roman temple in 25 BC, and the beautiful Piazza Navona. In yet another direction, you'll be walking to the Roman Forum to the Coliseum. Small cobblestone streets and outdoor cafés characterize the neighborhood surrounding JCU—the perfect place to study and meet with friends while enjoying the historic city center of Rome. Students have the opportunity to live in university accommodations or private apartments.

Lumsa is located in the historic center of Rome and in one of the most beautiful and historically rich areas of the city. It provides students with the opportunity to fully embrace all that Rome has to offer. Students study alongside other Italian students while taking classes taught in the host language. Areas of study include Philosophy, Law, Education, Communications, Political Science, Psychology and more. Located in downtown Rome, LUMSA stands as an institution of higher education designed to educate the student in all sectors of life along with Catholic morals.
