As a family, T.H. Administrative Support provides a broad range of professional support services to department heads or administrative officers within the University Hospital. Distinctions between classes are based on the complexity of support the incumbent provides, the difficulty of the work, the degree of supervision received, the degree of autonomy in decision-making, and educational/ experience requirements.
Incumbents are often assigned the task of coordinating the personnel and business aspects of an office or a department. Develops and maintains an effective system for the distribution of supplies and equipment to meet patient care needs, and keeps abreast of changes in cost, quality and availability of supplies. Plans, schedules, and assigns work to support staff. Assists in the preparation of budget requests and provides liaison between the supervisors and other hospital staff with respect to administrative matters.
AAS and three years of relevant experience in a supervisory/ administrative capacity. Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in a supervisory/ administrative capacity.
