Application of the science of human behavior to persons with emotional or behavioral disorders to facilitate the normal growth and development of the individual.
Under general direction of supervisor, plans own work and applies specific knowledge of scientific principles in a specialized field. Often performs independent problem solving, decision making and troubleshooting. As necessitated by a tertiary care setting, performs advanced level testing with a moderate degree of specialization; a high volume of such testing exists in a tertiary-care facility. May provide direct supervision to students and subordinate staff. Routinely teaches methodology for higher level procedures to clinical and technical staff and students.
AAS and five years experience or BS and three years experience required. ASCP or equivalent preferred. For Cytotechnology, BS and one year Cytotechnology experience required.
