Stephanie Fargnoli is Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Health and Hospital Affairs, leading System Administration's Office of Health Affairs. She supports the mission, operations, and finances of SUNY's four Academic Health Centers, the College of Optometry, and the Long Island State Veterans' Home. 

In this role Stephanie also provides support and recommendations to the SUNY Board of Trustees and its Committee on Academic Medical Centers & Hospitals. Stephanie joined SUNY in 2013 tasked with various initiatives related to the Academic Medical Centers such as the State's Medicaid Waiver and delivery system transformation, and in 2014 was asked to lead the Health Affairs office. 

Prior to joining SUNY, Stephanie spent five years in the NYS Department of Health’s Division of Finance, where she served as a Health Care Finance Program Manager overseeing various Medicaid programs. Preceding her work in the Department of Health, she spent eight years at the NYS Division of Budget developing and forming Medicaid hospital budget policy. Stephanie also served as a Legislative Director in the NYS Assembly.

Stephanie is a graduate of Russell Sage College (B.A.) and the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University (M.P.A.).
