Senior Campuses with Undergraduate Teacher EducationTeacher Education Program Transfer Information for SUNY Buffalo StateOverall GPA Entrance RequirementMinimum of 2.5 overall for Childhood/Early Childhood education, 2.6 for Childhood/Special Education, 2.5 for Art Education, 2.0 for Biology Education, 2.5 for Business and Marketing Education, 2.0 for Chemistry Education, 2.0 for Earth Science Education, 2.0 for English Education, 2.5 for French Education, 2.0 for Mathematics Education, 2.5 for Music Education, 2.0 for Physics Education, 2.75 for Social Studies Education, 2.5 for Spanish Education, and 2.0 for Technology Education. Earth Science - 3.0 in Earth Science courses for admission to methods and student teaching courses. French Education - 2.5 required in French courses. Music Education - entrance audition required for admission to program followed by two semester residency in Music major and 3.0 in Music courses. Physics Education - 2.75 required in Physics courses for admission to methods and student teaching courses. Social Studies Education - 2.75 required for all history and social science courses as well as an interview with the program coordinator, department chair, or other designated official. Spanish Education - 2.5 required in Spanish courses.
