You are encouraged to take 12-15 credits in your major during your associate degree program. | Other Application Requirements A minimum of 30 completed credits are required for childhood/early childhood education. Admission for Adolescence Education requires a minimum grade of B in two semesters of composition courses. |
| Specific Curriculum Comments A course in Physical Geography is required for early childhood or childhood education. If you can take this course and fulfill a GE requirement at your 2-year college you are encouraged to do so. AA and AS degree holders may transfer 6 credits of sign language for the foreign language requirement. Early childhood and childhood education programs require two semesters of mathematics for elementary education. You are encouraged to take these courses at your 2-year college if transferable courses are available.
