Licensing

Licensing for each product desired is purchased by the institution in the quantities desired each year.  Licensing is for concurrent usage and may include faculty, staff, and students.

The initial pricing is based upon the total volume of purchases by all SUNY institutions in 2007.  The total number of licenses purchased between the 12 month period beginning July 1 and ending June 30 of each year of this agreement will be used to establish volume discounts to be extended during subsequent twelve month periods.

Distribution

The software is distributed directly from PLATO to the institution placing the order.

Maintenance/Support

Maintenance and support are included in the price of the license.

Payment

Interested campuses may place orders directly with Plato.  They will be invoiced by and make payment directly to Plato.

Media and Documentation

Media and documentation are provided with each order.

Participation

Campus participation in this program is voluntary.

Procedure

Institution should work with a PLATO representative to develop an order that reflects the institution’s needs.

State operated campuses may place an order and encumber funds via the AC-340 process, using the SUNY contract number.  If PLATO requires a purchase order, the institution should generate a purchase order that does not enter the state system.

Community colleges may place an order and encumber funds using the appropriate procedure as defined by the college’s governing municipality.

Important Terms

Term of Contract:  The contract term is September 1, 2008 - August 31, 2010 . The contract may be renewed for four addtional two-year terms
