Assistant Vice Chancellor for External Affairs
Since 2010, Jennifer LoTurco has been Assistant Vice Chancellor for External Affairs, serving as a senior advisor to the Chancellor and Records Access Officer, as well as taking the lead on several critical initiatives including economic development and alumni affairs. Her role is focused on outreach and engagement to major SUNY constituent groups, including the Board of Trustees, campus presidents and regional council leadership across the state.
Jen initially came to SUNY in December 1999 operating out of the New York City office as Special Assistant to the Vice Chancellor & Secretary of the University, and later as Director of Special Projects, focusing on board issues, presidential matters and college council affairs.
Before coming to SUNY, Jen worked on legislative affairs and constituent relations for the New York State Senate, before moving to the Executive Chamber as an Appointments Officer, managing employment portfolios for agencies including ESDC, Department of Labor, Worker's Compensation, and SUNY.
Born in Albany and raised in Seneca Falls, NY, Jen has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the State University of New York at Albany.
