TECHNICAL PROGRAMS:

SUNY CPD Technical Programs are offered for IT staff throughout SUNY. The SUNY CPD, in collaboration with Alliance for Strategic Technologies (AST), works with campuses to identify technical training needs and implement appropriate training solutions to meet their goals. Each ITEC member campus has ITEC training points that can be used to pay for Technical Training Programs. Please visit "What are Points?"  for further information on points.

Briefly, the SkillSoft e-learning program offers a cost-effective means to provide professional development for staff and faculty in a very challenging budget environment.
 
Some highlights:

• ·       SkillSoft's e-Learning Initiative offers a wide range of professional development opportunities designed to support a variety of needs (information technology, computer    desktop skills, leadership and        management programs, engineering materials, HR, legal, etc.)
• ·       Each licensed user has access to all SkillSoft courses and materials included in the license for a full year
• ·       You can license groups of users or the entire campus - faculty, staff and students
• ·       To coordinate discussions, we ask that one campus contact be identified to work with the CPD.

TRAINING RESOURCES:

Oracle University
Oracle University provides training for all Oracle products.  Additionally, there are courses available for PeopleSoft, Siebel, JD Edwards, Hyperion, Linux, BEA, and Sun products. Oracle University courses are available in a variety of training formats to provide students with flexible learning options. In addition to courses taught at Oracle Learning Centers, we offer private events, training at your campus, and custom training. Regardless of the training location or the delivery method—Instructor-Led, Live or Recorded Online training, Self-Study Online, or CD-ROM—you get the skills you need to succeed.
