Do you have a specific professional development / training need and do not see it listed on our calendar? We may be able to help!

We offer customized training solutions by collaborating with individual campuses using a variety of services and modes of delivery to fulfill campus training needs.

What does this mean?

• We work with your campus to research, coordinate, and deliver workshops and events on a specific topic or university-wide initiative (for one person or for many!).
• We negotiate with vendors and work together with your campus to develop, coordinate, and execute a customized, campus-specific training plan for technology implementation or for staff/faculty development.
• We work with individual campuses to create training plans for technology implementations and assist with executing plans to meet timelines.

In order to meet the diverse needs of staff and faculty at their unique institutions, the SUNY CPD (formerly SUNY TC) offers great flexibility in the way it delivers professional development and training services to its member institutions.

Professional development and training events can be found:

• On-Site - At the SUNY CPD facility in East Syracuse
• On Individual Campuses - The SUNY CPD will bring programs to individual campus locations for staff and faculty who cannot attend off-campus training.
• At Remote Sites - Through partnerships with firms that provide SUNY with cost-effective training, the SUNY CPD can arrange delivery of a host of professional development offerings at various regional locations throughout NYS. In addition, SUNY CPD has agreements in place with regional SUNY campuses for the use of their training and meeting rooms.
• Online - The SUNY CPD links member institutions with one another and external training providers through computer-based training, and web conferencing software.
