SUNY Center for Professional Development (SUNY CPD) Academic Programs are those programs geared toward the "Academic Communities" of Faculty, Instructional Support Staff, and Faculty Developers. The Academic Programs team creates and develops programs based upon campus needs, for skill and knowledge development in various instructional technologies/software and in the area of teaching and learning.

Programs are delivered in a variety of formats including:

  • Face-to-Face Workshops, Events, and Mini-Conferences
  • Video Conferences
  • Synchronous Online - "Webinars"
  • Asynchronous Online Classes
  • On-site at the SUNY CPD facility in East Syracuse, NY
  • At our regional campus sites or corporate partner sites

Customized and Delivered to You

Academic Programs can be customized to meet the particular training or professional development needs of your campus. Programming can be brought directly to your campus, dedicated to your Academic staff; or your campus could act as a "Regional Site" for SUNY CPD Academic Programs.

Visit the SUNY CPD Customized Training Services web page for further information or contact Lisa Miles Raposo, SUNY CPD Assistant Director / Academic Programs Manager.

Meeting Your Needs

To provide you with training and professional development needs appropriate to your current needs, Academic Programs conducts periodic Needs Assessments.

  • Needs Assessments are sent out to SUNY CPD Member Campus Liaisons throughout the year.
  • At least one yearly Needs Assessment is sent out to all of our listserv subscribers.

Please feel free to contact Academic Programs at any time to discuss your training or professional development needs.
