Albany – The State University
of New York today announced that it will begin hosting regional campus
showcases next week, putting on public display the strongest programs and
finest innovations offered by SUNY campuses in every region of New York State.
As SUNY enters the third year
of its strategic plan, The Power of SUNY, Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher
has asked each of the 64 SUNY campuses to present a half-day of programming to
the public that highlights their greatest ability to contribute innovative, best-in-class
solutions that will help build a stronger economy and a better future for all
New Yorkers.
The
first showcase will feature programs and offerings from six SUNY colleges and
universities in the Long Island region, including Stony Brook University,
Farmingdale State College, Nassau Community College, Empire State College,
Suffolk Community College and SUNY Old Westbury.
All showcases are free and
