Albany – The SUNY Board of Trustees
today passed a resolution completing the separation of John O’Connor from his
roles as Senior Vice Chancellor for Research & Innovation and Secretary of
the University at SUNY. A copy of the full resolution will be available online
following today’s meeting.
Mr. O’Connor remains on leave
until June 17, at which time his separation from SUNY will take effect. As part
of the resolution, the Trustees did not grant any additional compensation to
Mr. O’Connor. However, in accordance with standard State and SUNY personnel
policies, Mr. O’Connor is entitled to receive any remaining accrued vacation
time that he has earned and not yet used.
SUNY Board Chairman Carl T.
Hayden and Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher once again acknowledged that Mr. O’Connor
had served SUNY with dedication in a variety of important roles for many years,
and wished him well in his future endeavors.
