Albany – The SUNY Board of Trustees today passed a resolution completing the separation of John O’Connor from his roles as Senior Vice Chancellor for Research & Innovation and Secretary of the University at SUNY. A copy of the full resolution will be available online following today’s meeting.

Mr. O’Connor remains on leave until June 17, at which time his separation from SUNY will take effect. As part of the resolution, the Trustees did not grant any additional compensation to Mr. O’Connor. However, in accordance with standard State and SUNY personnel policies, Mr. O’Connor is entitled to receive any remaining accrued vacation time that he has earned and not yet used.

SUNY Board Chairman Carl T. Hayden and Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher once again acknowledged that Mr. O’Connor had served SUNY with dedication in a variety of important roles for many years, and wished him well in his future endeavors.
