Albany – State University of New York Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher today announced the winners of the 2009-10 Chancellor’s Scholar Athlete
Award. Chancellor Zimpher honored 75 students from across the system.
“As we
approach the end of the academic year, I have the pleasure of honoring
many SUNY students and faculty for their hard-earned achievements,” said
Chancellor Zimpher. “The SUNY scholar athletes' accomplishments are
indeed impressive, as they have excelled in our classrooms and
in our athletic programs. With an average GPA of 3.63 and a number of
championship competitions among them, this year’s scholar athlete awardees
are to be commended.”
The
Chancellor’s Scholar Athlete Award recognizes a combination of academic
